About WAL

This event represents a significant opportunity to address the evolving needs of academic libraries in the context of innovation and to explore efficient models for knowledge innovation services. China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) has joined hands with esteemed partners, including Tsinghua University Library, the University of Hong Kong Libraries and the International Association of University Libraries (IATUL), to host WAL events from 2020 to 2025 successfully.

The previous WAL sessions convened more than 180 experts and scholars coming from 32 countries and regions, spanning China, the U.S., France, Germany, the U.K., Spain, Italy, Hungary, Russia, Australia, UAE, South Africa, Singapore, Japan, Korea, Thailand, etc. Distinguished librarians from renowned global universities actively participated in these forums, showcasing cutting-edge research and practices that have offered invaluable insights for the progressive development of academic libraries worldwide. The forum also witnessed the enthusiastic participation of a worldwide audience, with tens of thousands of viewers participating online, thereby exerting a substantial and positive influence on the industry.
